“Enterprise mobility has moved far beyond ‘Bring Your Own Device’. In fact, devices are now merely a single element of a total enterprise mobility strategy.”

The ‘Bring Your Own Device’ trend that swept enterprise IT some years ago has evolved into the broader question of Enterprise Mobility. Today, devices are merely one element of an enterprise mobility strategy which includes many important considerations.

According to analysts, enterprise mobility management (EMM) is moving more toward the context of a workplace strategy, where the management of all endpoints and applications is integrated, delivering access to tools and data wherever needed, enabling enterprise multi-screen usage, with whatever device is at hand.

As part of a wider strategy, enterprise mobility can deliver appropriate, flexible, secure access as required — with the focus on value to the business, not managing devices.

This TechFire session on 11 November 2015, in association with CWSI and Mobile Iron, explored the new generation of EMM tools and techniques that release the value of smart connected devices, secure access and strategy-aligned data, to ensure your enterprise is driving mobility, and not being driven by devices.
