“Mobility has been widely explored — can it be leveraged beyond user experience to drive not just productivity, but capability and growth?”

Paul Hearns, Editor, TechPro magazine

Mobility as an enterprise facility has been widely explored, bringing together the best of smart connected devices and unified communications.

But what are the next steps in mobility? Can it be a strategy in itself to help drive not just productivity but also supporting workforce management, customer experience and even opening up to the Internet of Things?

This TechFire briefing on 7 December 2016 explored how mobility can be leveraged beyond user experience to provide an increasingly diverse array of resources to mobile workers and customers to provide a rich experience that drives not just productivity, but capability and growth.

Attendees heard from David Cadenhead, CIO, CityJet, who discussed how the rigorous security and quality standards of the airline industry inform every aspect of his organisation’s mobile IT applications. The winner of Mobility Project of the Year in the 2016 Tech Excellence Awards, CityJet’s Electronic Flight Bag is a model of best practice in deploying IT mobility.

Mobility experts Damian Duffy and Paul Conaty were joined on the panel by Suzan Sakarya, an expert in mobile threat protection and data cost management.
