“The new workplace is not just about mobility — it is about combining applications, information and availability, securely, across whatever mobile devices your users want to use.”

While many organisations have mobile access, and perhaps even application and information access, few have combined the full power of mobility with the right communication and collaboration tools to let users truly be as productive as they can be – anywhere.

The combination of collaboration, communication and secure availability services allows users to be more creative, as previous limitations simply evaporate. However, deployment, integration, identity management and data protection are all key issues in ushering in this new era of possibilities for users.

This focused TechFire briefing on 29 September 2016 heard from Richard John, Group Head of EUC Transformation at British American Tobacco (BAT). A recent EUC project at BAT, underpinned by Windows 10, saw the deployment of the full Microsoft Office 365 suite across a vast global estate at a ferocious and record breaking pace. The result was a digital transformation that also unlocked a dramatic reduction in overall IT costs while tackling the problems around security, controls and myriad devices.

Experts from Microsoft, Fujitsu and Citrix joined the technical panel for Q & A and provide attendees at the briefing with a best-practice update on the market-leading platforms.

As organisations of all sizes adjust IT practices to support a highly mobile workforce, implementing strong security measures is a top priority. Windows 10 enterprise-grade security can protect an organisation’s mobile workforce while helping to drive down costs.
